Ninety-Year-Old Grandma Sings Own Version of Patsy Cline’s Hit Song, Dedicates to Senior Citizens

Aging, it’s something we will all face. Some try relentlessly to avoid it, while others eagerly prepare for it.

An entire cosmetic industry is kept alive by this exhaustive desire to look young. Vitamin and supplement companies thrive as people seek out that one thing that will be the elixir of life or fountain of youth.

Some work tirelessly to store up for their elder years with retirement funds and diverse financial portfolios. They wait for the day they can retire and have fun after working their entire life. The aging process can be tough, and Grandma Vera is here to testify to it. This plucky little grandma put her own twist on the classic song “I Fall to Pieces” written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard and made famous by country legend Patsy Cline.

At her birthday party, this 90-year-old grandma broke out her guitar and dedicated the remake to seniors. The song, now titled “We Fall to Pieces,” is about that point in life when you reach the end of your working years and are ready to enjoy those things you put off.

But life is life, and things don’t always turn out exactly how we think they will. Vera shot out straight up, “We Fall To Pieces, and if any of you young people think it’s not true, I have news for you!”

She began to play the guitar and sing, and it’s clear this gal still has it! Her 90 years of life have only sharpened her sense of humor.

Verse one had the crowd rolling in laughter. She sang, “We fall to pieces, just when it’s time to have fun. We fall to pieces from all that work that we have done.”
